What a busy weekend we had!! I can't even remember what we did on Friday?? On Sat., we went to a little carnival at the park with our friends. Sydney had a blast romping around in the jumpers and eating her first snow cone. After a short nap, we had more friends over and Greg prepared an Italian feast for 6 adults!! While the adults wined and dined, Sydney was having a blast playing with her friend Addison, they are the same age. It was so cute watching them play together. Before bed, Sydney proceeded to tell all of the adults a story about a witch - boy her imagination is big!!! After many laughs, I was finally able to get her to bed at 10pm!!!! After everyone left and clean up, it was about 11pm. I went up to check on her and she was still awake!! I tickled her face a bit and she fell asleep.
On Sunday, Sweetie woke up bright and early (urrrr..) and we started our day. She was very excited because we had Jace's birthday party today!! We went to Peter Piper Pizza for the party and Sydney played games for about 2 hours! Then it was time for us to leave to go to our block party meeting. Sydney played with Jake at the party for another 2 hours! NO NAP!! Then off to Nana & Paps to play with all of the family and eat dinner. We finally got home and were in bed by 8:30pm!! Wew, lazy day today!!!

Proud Mommy!!
Sydney and I went for a beautiful hike today at North Mountain. It's a steep hill/mountain that's paved so I can put Sydney in the jogging stroller. It's like pushing 70 pounds uphill for 1.5 miles. Love it!!
After we got home, we went out back and sat in the sun for a bit. Sydney was playing with some "golden treasures" as she calls them so I put them on my leg and suggested she count them. She said "ok" and pointed to the first one as said, "Uno, dos, tres, quatro, cinco" as she pointed to each one!! I was blown away! My two year old just counted in Spanish!!! Man she's smart!!!

Pictures
Sydney is feeling 100% better now. Her runny nose and cough lingered for many days. We finally were able to get back to the gym this last week!! She needed it as badly as I did!! She loves to play with the kids and I love to take spin class! I feel like a whole different person by the time the class is over!
Sydney continues to be a joyful little girl. She still talks up a storm and says the funniest things! Everyday is something new - for instance, I got her the movie "Chicken Little" at a 2nd hand store. She loves the movie. In the movie they play that song from the Spice Girls about friends (can't think of the song title). Any ways, today, Sydney keeps singing, "You wanna be my lover" over and over and over!! Sounds so funny coming from a 2 year old!!!
She loves to sing and dance! I really think she is going to be some kind of a performer as she grows up. She has to get that from her Daddy because I am pretty shy and really don't like to draw attention to myself! Her Daddy on the other hand...well, you all know how he is:) They are both Leo's after all!!
Below are some cute pictures of Sydney and I. Sydney and I had our own little photo shoot to get a cute picture of the two of us for Daddy for Valentine's Day. She was a blast during the photo shoot. There were so many cute photos to choose from!! She even had the photographers laughing!!

So Sweet! I am so glad we did this. I am usually the one taking the pictures so there are not many of Sydney and I. I think it's important for us to do this for Sydney. I really regret not having more pictures of my Mom and I as I was growing up.
Here is the picture taken right after I crossed the finish line for the PF Chang half marathon!! I could barely stand my legs were so wrecked!! Still thinking about doing the San Diego PF Chang half marathon in June...
