Update
Well, we had another long night last night of Sweetie being sick BUT we finally got her fever to break at around 4:30am. I had Sydney sleep with me last night so I could monitor her breathing as it seemed like she was getting coup with her horrible cough. Fortunately, the cough dissipated and her breathing is better today. I think she will just have a cold from here on out! Poor thing - feel so bad for her.

A Sick Day
Poor Sydney is so sick today. Greg went out of town yesterday and won't be back until Sunday - so I am on my own with a very sick little girl. She started coughing last night in bed and by 3am she had me so worried so I had her come sleep by me. She slept some but I couldn't. Today has been so sad listening to her horrible coughing and seeing her discomfort. We tried to take a nap but that didn't work so well. We ended up sitting in the bathroom with the hot water running to loosen things up for her. Hopefully she will be able to sleep some tonight and feel better tomorrow.

Running Updates
Before we left for Minnesota, Sydney was having a hard time separating from me when I would drop her off at daycare at the gym. That has all changed since we have come back! She LOVES to go into the daycare now and doesn't want to leave when I come back to get her. I think being in Minnesota and playing with all of her cousins helped her a lot! The daycare workers always comment that Sydney plays so well with the other children and they love to have her there. That makes me soooo happy!!
I am in week 5 of my 20 week half marathon training! I am sore EVERYDAY!! For the first time in years, I have a butt - but man does it hurt!! I had to go in for some adjustments and what not for my hips. Come to find out my left leg is almost a 1/2 inch longer than my right leg - which is causing a lot of problems in my hips and lower back. I am working through it, stretching a few times each day, using a foam roller and Greg helps me with some deeper stretching. I had a lift put in my running shoe last night so we will see if that helps!! The fundraising part is not going so well yet but I am positive that will change soon...I am up to running 7 miles!! I love the fact that Sydney sees me exercising and running. Whenever she sees me putting my running shoes on she says, "Mommy's going running!" It's very cute:)

Fun Times
So cute last night...
I got home from work, gave Sydney a snack and then took her upstairs to get her ready for bed. After I tucked her in and turned out the light I said "Goodnight Sweetie, I love you," and Sydney said, "I love you Mommy. Your my best friend!" Oh how my heart melted!
Now that Sydney is two years old, we can start taking classes at the local community centers. I registered her for the following classes:

Now that Sydney is two years old, we can start taking classes at the local community centers. I registered her for the following classes:
- Wee Movement: Age 2 starting at the end of October (7 classes)
- Ballet for Toddlers - starting in November (4 classes)
I am so excited to get her involved in more structured activities!! And I know Nana and Aunt Peggy will be in line to come to one of the Ballet classes!!!
They have so many cool classes for toddlers to include arts & crafts, dance, developmental skills, etc! It's nice to have affordable options!!

Random Pictures
Had a few minutes so I thought I would post some pictures taken over the last couple of weeks. Enjoy!!

We took a tour of the California Pizza Kitchen with our MOM's group. It was lots of fun!! All of the kids got to make their own pizza's and while they were cooking, we all got a tour of the kitchen. The employees were very patient as all of our kids were under 4 years old!!! They gave us the tour before they opened. Here the employee is showing the kids the cooler - Sydney loved it!!
Sydney hanging out in her swimsuit before a play date.
Popeye face!!
I wrapped her up in an ACE bandage - she had a blast trying to move around in it. Who needs toys!!

So Gross!!!
Warning - if you suffer from a weak stomach, you may want to skip reading this post!!!
Looking back, I realize that Sydney has really been an easy baby. We really didn't have to deal with a lot of issues that other parents must deal with. For example, Sydney was never really one to put things in her mouth or get into too many things. We really have been blessed! I guess that's why her behavior today shocked me so much!!
I was busy on the computer registering Sydney for some classes at the Phoenix Recreation Center, while Sydney was eating a snack. I then cleaned her up and put her down so she could go watch Wonder Pets. I decided to call Greg to let him know how excited I was that I found some classes for Sydney to participate in. As I was on the phone, Sydney looked up at me and cried out, "Mommy my hands hurt!" and she was holding them out in front of her. Still talking to Greg, I walked over to see what was wrong. I looked down at her hands and saw something strange so I grabbed her hand - OMG!!! I quickly hung up the phone once I realized what I was looking at...
Sydney had pooped in her diaper and for some reason, decided to put her hands down her diaper. Her hands were full of poop!! Lets just say my stomach turned a few times!!
What was she thinking????
As you can imagine, once cleanup was complete, we had a serious one-on-one in regards to where we DO NOT put our hands! She didn't argue!!

Oh my gosh, seriously, Sydney has found her singing voice!! She sings very loudly, everywhere we go...it's hilarious!! This last Sunday we put Sydney down for her nap and had plans to go to a pool party after she woke. Well that little stinker sang "opera" for 1.5 hours - and never did take a nap!!!
I LOVE it:)
